VISION

We believe in using the imagination to create theatrical art that will inspire the world we live to be a better place, learning to love and understand each other.

MISSION

The mission of the Roxie Theatre Company is to create a vibrant performance environment where actors of all ages can express their creativity. We intend to provide a nurturing and fun atmosphere in which young actors may learn and grow through our Performing Arts Academy program. Finally, we look forward to making a positive contribution to the Alamo City’s thriving arts scene by offering a fresh and innovative approach to theater by way of a unique, intimate, performance house.

HISTORY

Roxie Theatre Company was founded in 2005 by Artist Director Jonathan Pennington after he graduated from college.  He wanted to create a company that would enrich the city of San Antonio in modern musical theatre productions.  He built the company from the ground up designing our company logo, mission statement, working as producer, director, productions design, and casting.  This was a huge undertaking right out of college, however 12 years later we are still here for the community of San Antonio.
